        <idAbs>&lt;div&gt;The 2018 tree canopy layer was derived from 128 5-band, 1M resolution, Color Infrared (CIR), 2018 NAIP aerial orthoimagery rasters using Textron System’s Feature Analyst extension for ArcGIS. This method resulted in 297,512.5 acres of tree canopy within the Austin Watershed boundary, which is a 6.8% loss from the 2014 tree canopy calculation. This feature was created with the collaboration of a product specialist from Textron’s Feature Analyst software.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span style='font-family:&amp;quot;Segoe UI&amp;quot;, Arial, sans-serif; font-size:13.3333px;'&gt;28 stretched color composite images were created from the USDA’s 2018 National Agriculture Imagery Program (NAIP) orthoimagery to better distinguish actual tree canopy. To generate the extraction using Feature Analyst, test polygons were drawn around a diverse selection of canopy located within the boundary that would allow the tool to learn where tree canopy is located.
