<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>Priority Areas Near New York State Parks</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>GIS Process Steps</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>Step 1: Starting with the results of the Biodiversity Indicator Tool ("BIT", 30 x 30 m raster), select pixels with scores higher than 48 (maximum = 100), which represents approximately the 75th percentile of the statewide distribution.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>Step 2: Convert selected pixels to polygons.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>Step 3: Aggregate polygons in order to eliminate small holes and to subsume adjacent, disconnected small polygons.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>Step 4: Add unique identifier ("Permanent ID") to each polygon feature.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
