            <statement>The inundation layers were created utilizing NOAA’s methodology to create the inundations layer shown in NOAA’s Sea Level Rise Viewer tool (https://coast.noaa.gov/data/digitalcoast/pdf/slr-inundation-methods.pdf) in ArcMap 10.8.1. Data inputs included a spatially varying tidal surface of mean higher high water (MHHW) created using the NOAA Vdatum tool (https://vdatum.noaa.gov/vdatumweb/) with a cell size of 250 FT, a topobathymetric model of the Puget Sound region (Tyler et al., 2020), a 20-year extreme still water level magnitude (Miller et al., 2019), and magnitudes of projected relative sea level rise (Miller et al., 2018). The modeled tidal surface from VDatum was subsequently extrapolated landward with the Euclidean Allocation tool. Together, the elevation of MHHW plus the 20-year extreme still water magnitude were then subtracted from the topobathymetric model (Tyler et al., 2020) to map locations and depths of inundation as rasters. These rasters were converted to polygons to map the extent of inundation. Finally, the hydro-connected polygons were selected for each of the scenarios, eliminating areas where the sea level rise scenario elevation was higher than the land elevation but not connected to Puget Sound waters.
