The Olympic Experimental State Forest Land Planning effort will evaluate cumulative effects of feasible alternative management strategies.  Of concern are the potential impacts that management activities including research might have on riparian forest conditions, stream channels and fisheries habitat.  The appropriate scale(s) of monitoring management and research activities is a question that needs to be addressed.  This database provides three scales for assessment.  Watershed Administrative Units (WAU's) are sub-divided into sub-watersheds of major tributaries, and into Type three watersheds (hydrologic analysis units of type thee fish-bearing streams under the DNR State Land's Habitat Conservation Plan).
