Parcels receiving a tax incentive for maintining use of property for the growth and harvest of timber for commercial purposes. The majority of parcels have the entire area enrolled but this also includes parcels with areas excluded.
For more information about this layer please see the <a href='https://www5.kingcounty.gov/sdc?Layer=CUT_FOREST_AREA' rel='nofollow ugc'>GIS Data Catalog</a>.<br /><br />The Washington State Open Space Taxation Act allows properties to be valued at their current use rather than their highest and best use. This dataset includes parcels assessed for current use as Forest Land primarily devoted to the growth and harvest of timber. This program is administered by the King County Assessor's Office.
