This layer shows the historical total summer (July- September) runoff. This includes any overland water flows in addition to subsurface runoff in shallow groundwater. Dark green shading indicates areas that have received highest streamflow in Puget Sound in inches. Figure created by Jonathan Picchi-Wilson, Western Washington University, based on the CMIP3 projections used in the IPCC 2007 report. Data source: Hamlet et al. 2013.
