For more information about this layer please see the <a href='https://www5.kingcounty.gov/sdc?Layer=SW_CTRL_OTHER_POINT_POINT' rel='nofollow ugc'>GIS Data Catalog</a>.<br /><br />Component Types for Control Other (Point)-Dry Well: Gravel filled holes or structures used for temporary storage and infiltration of stormwater runoff.-Injection Well: A structure that is deeper than it is wide that is designed to infiltrate stormwater runoff.-Full Dispersion: Features a native vegetated flowpath segment of at least 100ft (25ft for sheet flow from a non-native pervious surface) along the flowpath that runoff would follow upon discharge. The flowpath segment must be either onsite or in an offsite tract or easement area reserved for dispersion and should be designated as a “native growth retention area” on the flow control BMP site plan attached to the required declaration of covenant and grant of easement. Full dispersion involves use of splash blocks, rock pads, gravel filled trenches or sheet flow.

Legacy data were collected with GPS instruments and the locations were not carefully reviewed. The current process for collecting and editing data involves picking visible assets (e.g. a catch basin grate) from the aerial or georeferencing design plans. Snapping is used to position the asset at the intersection of two line features, on a point feature, or at the end of a line feature.
King County is in the process of completing its stormwater infrastructure mapping. Many areas, especially those outside of Potential Annexation Areas (PAA) or Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) are not yet mapped. Areas with the PAAs and TMDLs may not be mapped and reviewed yet as well.
At the attribute level, legacy data have many omission errors from a change in definitions around Link Type, ToFrom and OwnerEntity fields. These are being corrected in the current workflow.
Conceptual consistency is good among data that has DataStage "Approved" and varies greatly among data that has other DataStage values. The poorest data comes from the legacy data that was imported. Conceptual Consistency is sought through Standard Operating Procedures and a QA/QC workflow.
