This model represents the synthesis of two modeling approaches - geometric mean of suitability indices and species distribution modeling (SDM) - and was informed by seven predictive covariates (forest cover and patch size, canopy cover, distances to streams and disturbance, watershed integrity, and catchment gradient) as well as U.S. Forest Service survey data ranging from 2000 to 2020. The purpose of this HSI is to guide conservation planning in the WGCPO at a coarse, landscape-level scale by highlighting watersheds predicted to contain a high percentage of optimal breeding habitat for the Louisiana Waterthrush.</idAbs>
