Overall, the co-development of a spatial design helps organize landscape elements while maintaining and improving stakeholder buy-in” (De Groot, Alkemade, Braat, Hein, &amp;amp;amp; Willemen, 2009; Melillo et al., 2014).Analytical Question: Create a prototype landscape design that integrates multiple values on the landscape including wildlife conservation, forest and agriculture production, recreation, cultural and human health. The prototype will be created based upon readily available data. This analysis will be used to understand landscape-scale conservation and working landscape priorities, while incorporating other important values. The blueprint will be used to represent a sustainable landscape in the future. We can include social network perspective as part of a potential suite of design products, such as implementation capacity.Desired Outcome: A map or maps that represents a balance of multiple values on the landscape, with a focus on conservation and working landscape values.</abstract>
      <purpose>The purpose of this version 1.0 database is to provide a tool for input into a spatial design process. This data set is not meant to represent the full range of natural resources values, nor is the data expected to be perfect.  The data is derived from multiple existing data sets to support regional scale dialogue and strategic planning.  The vision of this data set is to provide a strawman for dialogue tool for ultimate re-iterations of the spatial design process.  

This geodatabase represents a first draft of converting data to more useful information, which in turn will be used to define potential strategies across the landscape.  The main purpose of this database is to categorize raw data/models on conservation targets, ecosystem services, working lands attributes, threats and condition.  </purpose>

Increased goal levels from 5 to 10% for widely distributed species

Modified the cost surface to include the TNC resilience data. 

Cost surface = (Road Density * 0.2) + (Population * 0.1) + (Land Cover * 0.1) + (Working Lands Value * 0.3) + (Resilience * 0.3)

So, a mix of “human footprint”, “working lands values” and resilience.  

I did the sequential lock-in on public lands, and then reviewed the output to see which species/habitats are not meeting their goals. I created a sequential private lands-only analysis that used goal levels that complement the initial public lands goals.  For example, if species x had a goal level of 30%, but only met 61% of that goal level, then a new goal level was calculated for private lands that would complement public lands to meet an overall 30% goal level. </attrdef>

For example, if species x had a goal level of 30%, but only met 61% of that goal level, then a new goal level was calculated for private lands that would complement public lands to meet an overall 30% goal level.</attrdef>
