These are supportive housing projects that are funded, sited and in the development process. Many buildings are already under construction or will be under construction in the coming months. Supportive housing is not for the majority of people experiencing homelessness, but rather for the smaller subset of people with disabling conditions who have been homeless for long periods of time. For people in this group, it offers a permanent place to live and intensive, onsite services, such as mental health services, benefits counseling and case management.
