In Spring 2021, the District initiated the Garibaldi Estates Neighbourhood Plan process, which continued through 2024 and is anticipated to be completed mid-2025. Expanded engagement as well as required integration of new provincial housing legislation necessitated additional time for plan development, review and finalization. In 2019, the District initiated Loggers East neighbourhood planning and the final plan was adopted by Council on February 23, 2020. Following the OCP adoption, in 2018 the Wilson Crescent neighbourhood 'micro-plan' was developed and endorsed by the District of Squamish.
