Adjacent polygons with common ownership and a single tax record have been retained in the "OthLeg" layer that accompanies this TaxPar layer, and dissolved into single parcels in this TaxPar layer. Some non-adjacent parcels may be represented by multi-part polygons where they share common ownership and a single tax record.  Public right of ways exist as polygons, not null space.  Linework associated with private ROWs are retained in the "OthLeg" layer.  Water polygons also representing parcel boundaries have been retained in this TaxPar layer.  Additional water features that are not considered parcel boundaries may have been placed in the "Misc" layer that accompanies this TaxPar layer.  Easements and other similar non-fee taxable boundaries exist in the 'OthLeg" layer, not the TaxPar layer.</logic>

                <srccontr>This GIS dataset represents a digital version of assessor tax maps that were previously converted to GIS.  Up to date TIFF images were rectified to orthophotos and then compared to the existing, but out of date, digital parcel data.  Updates were made to the digitial parcel data based  on the newer TIFF images.</srccontr>

                <procdesc>Digital parcel data of unknown vintage were compared to updated maps in TIFF image format which were rectified to 2007 orthophotos.  Corrections were made to the digital parcel data based on the TIFF maps.  Newly created parcels from the last year were digitized in based on deed descriptions.  Once all parcels were digitized, boundaries were adjusted to correct for any errors, such as ovlapping roads and buildings.  Attributes were then completed and joined to M345Assess to verify completeness.</procdesc>

Its features can be linked in a GIS or database environment to a set of standardized assessing attributes in the table M121Assess by using the unique identifying values in the LOC_ID field.  This data is also intended to be used in conjunction with associated (and optional) features in the ancillary data layers M121OthLeg and M121Misc.                 <stepDesc>Digital parcel data of unknown vintage were compared to updated maps in TIFF image format which were rectified to 2007 orthophotos. Corrections were made to the digital parcel data based on the TIFF maps. Newly created parcels from the last year were digitized in based on deed descriptions. Once all parcels were digitized, boundaries were adjusted to correct for any errors, such as ovlapping roads and buildings. Attributes were then completed and joined to M345Assess to verify completeness.</stepDesc>
