The completeness of the data is based on county reporting practices. Not all counties report data attributes in the same fashion, therefore some GIS attribution may also be unavailable. \n\nLand Use note:\n\nThis is a CoreLogic derived field that standardizes and classifies all U.S. parcel data according to permitted land use. CoreLogic’s standardization logic relies on the Assessor’s determination of land use, or the state land use if county land use is not available, as well as proprietary logic. If neither the county or state land use is available, CoreLogic standardized code for a given parcel may be null. At the highest level property and parcels are classified as Residential (1-4 dwelling units in a single structure) and Non-Residential (all other property and parcel types). CoreLogic further classifies Residential Land Use into a range of distinct values denoting, for example, a single family residence, a cabin, or a townhouse. Similarly, Non-Residential parcels are classified into land Use codes such as Hotel, Retail, Industrial, Agricultural, Vacant and Tax Exempt (government).\n\nThrough CoreLogic’s patented processes and technology, our team integrates and standardizes this wide array of content, into a single GIS product.\n\nStandardization note:\n\nIn order to standardize representation across the nationwide data set, all features are single-part, with each record in the attribute table corresponding to a single polygon feature. Property characteristic attribute values are duplicated on polygons which are part of the same parcel. For analysis of property characteristics, a parcel can be identified by unique APN and APN2 values.
