Analyzing VMT at the county level can help state, local and federal governments and planners make informed decisions about infrastructure development, traffic management, and environmental impacts, such as emissions and air quality. It also aids in forecasting future transportation needs and evaluating the effectiveness of transportation policies or projects within the county.&lt;/div&gt;</idAbs>
