In addition, it was necessary to replace missing minus signs in front of the longitude values for two records so feature locations were displayed in proximity to the Great Lakes region. Attribute names (column headers or field names) were modified in abbreviated form to conform to the 10 character limit required by the file geodatabase format. Two additional attributes (columns) were added to the attribute table to include search terms to allow records to be filtered based on whether the words 'coast' or 'wetland' were included in the project title or project description - and with the intended purpose of creating a means to select a subset of all GLRI projects with titles and descriptions indicating that the project included efforts focusing on coastal wetlands in context of restoration, enhancement, protection or monitoring. Data records were exported from their native *.xlsx format to CSV format, then imported into a geodatabase table to maintain the full string of text (&gt;255 characters) included in the 'Project Description' column. A file geodatabase feature class was created using the 'make x-y event layer' (based on the latitude and longitude coordinates) and the 'feature class to feature class' tool sets. All coordinates were presumed to be representative of WGS 1984 geographic coordinate system.</p><p style="margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:1.5rem; font-family:&quot;Avenir Next W01&quot;, &quot;Avenir Next W00&quot;, &quot;Avenir Next&quot;, Avenir, &quot;Helvetica Neue&quot;, sans-serif; font-size:16px;"><b>Feature Class Attribute Explanations:</b><br /></p></div><div><ul><li><b>Funder:</b> the Federal agency managing the project.</li><li><b>Year:</b> the fiscal year in which the project funding was appropriated.</li><li><b>GLRI Amount (GLRIAmount):</b> the dollar amount of the GLRI funding the project received for the given fiscal year.</li><li><b>Project Type (ProjType):</b> project funding or scope types: new, continuation, etc. &quot;Continuation&quot; means incremental funding of an on-going project. &quot;Increase&quot; means an increase in funding. “Revision” means a change in the scope and/or a decrease in the funding.</li><li><b>Project Title (ProjTitle): </b>the official title of the project.</li><li><b>Project Description (ProjDesc):</b> a short description of the project, such as who is going to do what and where.<br /></li><li><b>InCoast (Includes Coast):</b> represents 'Yes' or 'No' values where 'Yes' indicates that the term 'coast' was included in the Project Title or Project Description attribute fields.</li><li><b>InWetland (Includes Wetland):</b> represents 'Yes' or 'No' values where 'Yes' indicates that the term 'wetland' was included in the Project Title or Project Description attribute fields.</li><li><b>Recipient Name (RcpntName):</b> the organization actually doing the work for the identified project.</li><li><b>Focus Area (FocusArea):</b> the Action Plan focus area under which the project line is funded.</li><li><b>Project Start Date (ProjStDate): </b>the date that the project began or is planned to begin.</li><li><b>Project End Date (ProjEnDate):</b> the date that the project work ended or is planned to end.</li><li><b>Affected States (AffStates):</b> the state(s) in which the project takes place.</li><li><b>Latitude:</b> North-south (Y) coordinate in decimal degrees (DD) representing the WGS 1984 geographic coordinate system.</li><li><b>Longitude:</b> East-west (X) coordinate in decimal degrees (DD) representing the WGS 1984 geographic coordinate system.</li></ul><div><b>NOTE: The combination of latitude and longitude represent the feature's location as submitted by grant recipients, and may not represent the actual location of the project(s) as described in the 'project description.'</b><br /></div></div>
