Description: This layer contains points for the locations of U.S. Coalfired Power Plants in 2007 and contain dated from the Energy Information Administration (EIA), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) about production and emissions. This data has been updated by Esri based on numerous other sources to reflect changes since the time the EIA or EPA collected this data (2007, 2009, and 2012). The intent is to depict a relevent understanding of coalfired power plants as the EPA proposes and most likely implements new standards for limiting greenhouse gas emissions in 2014, particularly for carbon dioxide (CO2).
