<stepDesc>The Manitoba Government department of Growth, Enterprise and Trade (GET) provided a list of northern Manitoba communities for the Look North project.  Point features for Churchill, Grand Rapids, Opaskwayak Cree Nation, and Snow Lake were created based on latitude and longitude coordinates provided by GET.

Selected points by NAME from the Manitoba Geographical Names Data Base.  Exported selected points to a new feature class.

Downloaded the 2016 Census Subdivision (CSD) cartographic boundary file in ArcGIS (.shp) format from the Statistics Canada website. Ran Feature To Point (inside) for the Cross Lake Band (Cross Lake 19E), Kelsey, Mystery Lake, Norway House Cree Nation (Norway House 17), and Sayisi Dene First Nation (Churchill 1) CSDs.

Used the Esri World Topographic Basemap as a reference to manually create point features for Easterville, Red Sucker Lake (Red Sucker Lake 1976), and War Lake First Nation.

Merged point feature classes and projected to the WGS_1984_Web_Mercator_Auxiliary_Sphere coordinate system.</stepDesc>
