Data was updated for recently built areas with 2018 Ortho Photography or approximated from paper surveys for buildings currently under construction. Please note that this dataset has not been updated since 2020 and in many cases the shapes might have been exaggerted due to shadows in the original lower resolution imagery from which they were derieved. Please pay special attention to areas in the City of Collgetown, Easthill and downtown areas. Many of the buildings in the College town areas in the City of Ithaca for example have been removed and rebuilt with new buildings of various heights and shapes. The latest imagery that covers Tompkins County (aquired by NYS in 2023) can be <a target='_blank' href='https://gis.ny.gov/tompkins-county-orthoimagery-downloads' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'>downloaded here</a>.
