United States Geological Survey (USGS) maintains a Global Catalog of Calibrated
Earthquake Locations (GCCEL) that catalogs earthquakes events and receives regular
updates. Currently it is possible to obtain information for over 18,000 events
around the globe from 1960 to 2022. There are 263 identified clusters at their database,
and it is possible to obtain information and data for each cluster separately.
The GCCEL uses the Hypocentroidal Decomposition multiple event relocation
algorithm and is a very helpful tool since it provides minimally biased
hypocenters and curated arrival times that can be used for development of local-level
