Description: The Major Roads dataset provides the most uptodate and accurate road centerline information for the City of Houston and its ETJ. It was created 10/03/2008 by combining Greater Harris County 911 roads with the Private, Access, and Proposed roads from StarMap. Using feed back from members of the Geographic Data Committee, approved plats, and permit department records. New roads are added, nonexistant roads deleted, street names and block ranges changed as a way to keep COHGIS ROADS the most accurate map of the Houston area..
