Description:

DSNY has divided the City into 7 collection zones for refuse and recycling operations. Each zone is divided into collection districts. The collection districts are further divided into collection sections.

For those community districts that are not served by DSNY (i.e. Central Park, Van Cortlandt Park, Prospect Park, etc.), they are designated as "Non-DSNY", and given a section code of "X".

The boundaries for this dataset is coincident with LION and Districts 16C (http://www1.nyc.gov/site/planning/data-maps/open-data.page). LION and Districts are maintained by NYC Department of City Planning (DCP).
