The revised and streamlined structure is called the 3DNTM Data Collaboration Announcement (DCA). The DCA replaces the Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) and includes data acquisition partnerships for both the 3DEP Program and the 3D Hydrography Program (3DHP).  The DCA (and previously the BAA) is open to the broadest stakeholder community possible including federal, state, local, and tribal governments, academia, nonprofits and the private sector.  The final geographic extents of each data acquisition project are determined by the USGS, Federal and/or state/local/other partners who fund the project to meet their mission needs.      </span><span style="margin:0px; padding:0px; font-size:11pt; font-family:Calibri, Calibri_EmbeddedFont, Calibri_MSFontService, sans-serif;"> </span></p></div><div style="margin:0px; padding:0px; clear:both; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:&quot;Segoe UI&quot;, &quot;Segoe UI Web&quot;, Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size:12px;"><p style="margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:10.6667px; padding:0px; font-kerning:none; background-color:transparent; color:windowtext;"><span style="margin:0px; padding:0px; font-variant-numeric:normal; font-variant-east-asian:normal; font-variant-alternates:normal; font-variant-position:normal; font-size:11pt; font-family:Calibri, Calibri_EmbeddedFont, Calibri_MSFontService, sans-serif;">The BAA was established for 3DEP acquisition beginning in 2015 with the purpose of providing a fair and open process for developing 3DEP partnerships and to provide increased visibility of the process to the broadest stakeholder community possible. The best practices established in the BAA will continue to be used for the 3DNTM DCA.  </span><span style="margin:0px; padding:0px; font-size:11pt; font-family:Calibri, Calibri_EmbeddedFont, Calibri_MSFontService, sans-serif;"> </span></p></div><div style="margin:0px; padding:0px; clear:both; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:&quot;Segoe UI&quot;, &quot;Segoe UI Web&quot;, Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size:12px;"><p style="margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:10.6667px; padding:0px; font-kerning:none; background-color:transparent; color:windowtext;"><span style="margin:0px; padding:0px; font-variant-numeric:normal; font-variant-east-asian:normal; font-variant-alternates:normal; font-variant-position:normal; font-size:11pt; font-family:Calibri, Calibri_EmbeddedFont, Calibri_MSFontService, sans-serif;">Since the first BAA in FY15, the USGS has supported over 235 3DEP projects resulting in more than 1,200,000 square miles of new lidar data.
