Service Description: The Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS) 2022 Initial Release - Fatal Motor Vehicle Accidents dataset was compiled from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022 by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and is part of the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT)/Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) National Transportation Atlas Database (NTAD). This geospatial dataset is the accident file from the initial release of FARS 2021 data. This data file contains information about crash characteristics and environmental conditions at the time of the crash. There is one record per crash.
