Endangered and Threatened Plants include Tiny Cryptanthe (Cryptantha minima), Soapweed (Yucca glauca), Smallflowered Sand-verbena (Tripterocalyx micranthus), Western Spiderwort (Tradescantia occidentalis), Porsild's Bryum (Bryum porsildii), Limber Pine (Pinus flexilis) and Whitebark Pine (Pinus albicaulis) species, and the Slender Mouse-Ear-Cress (Halimolobos virgata). Smoothed minimum convex polygons (MCP) were used to delineate ranges of Endangered and Threatened Plant species based on observations from relevant databases in Alberta, with the exception of Porsild's Bryum and Slender Mouse-Ear-Cress, Limber Pine and Whitebark Pine. Porsild's Bryum range was derived from known disjunct locations. Additional considerations were used to further filter range boundaries after observation data were plotted. Slender Mouse-Ear-Cress range was derived from known locations, Grassland Vegetation Inventory (GVI) and expert opinion. These ranges encompass all known locations of each species. The extent of Limber and Whitebark Pine ranges were delineated based on habitat suitability models, suitable eleveation ranges, as well as location of plus trees and long term health transects.
