August 2016 Service Change - removed Bay Area Park & Pool due to Gulf Freeway reconstruction
Rail Stations for both current (red line) and new rail lines (Green & Purple) opening May 2015.
Stations reflect the locations as they exist today geographically. Ceasar Chavez / 67th St Station and Magnolia Park Station are not in service until METRO completes construction of the overpass over the railroad just east of Altic / Howard Hughes Station.

Additions include platforms that exist on the new green and purple line which are scheduled to be in revenue generating operation in May 2015. Platforms are used to depict the exact location of boarding and alighting Metro rail system based on the desired direction of travel; eastbound (EB), westbound (WB), northbound (NB), or southbound (SB). Platforms reflect the locations as they exist today geographically.
METRORail Lines was created using METMap, METRO's street centerline map is a version of Star*Map as created and maintained by the Geographic Data Committee of the Houston-Galveston Area Council. The METRORail Lines were created as a centerline between the existing tracks as shown on January 2014 Aerial Photography. METRORail Red line is currently operating. The Purple and Green Lines are scheduled to be in operation in May 2015. The Green Line will initially operate only to Altic /Howward Hughes Station. Upon completion of the overpass over the frieght railroad just east of Altic/Howard Hughes Station, the Green Line will operate fully to Magnolia Park Station.

Added Midday service on route 269 inbound and outbound directions
Reversed direction of loop on the Northern end of route 46 Gessner

Bus routes are color coded by frequency:
Red - Frequent all day service (Goal every 15 minutes or less)
Blue - Frequent Peak service, less frequent non-peak service (15 minute peak, 30 minutes or less non peak)
Green - Less frequent all day service (31 plus minutes all day)
Orange - Frequent peak express serice, less frequent non peak express service (15 minute peak, 30 minutes or less non peak)
The area within which METRO may collect sales tax.
Established in August 1978 and amended to include only "Full Purpose" annexations (or deannexations) by included local cities.
