Description: <p><b>Purpose:</b> The Austin Against Hate Community Data Dashboard serves as a comprehensive tool designed to raise awareness about Hate Crimes, facilitate access to city services for victims, and foster a collaborative effort in tracking and addressing such incidents within Austin.</p><p><b>Context:</b> This dashboard represents a joint initiative involving the City of Austin, the Communications and Public Information Office, the Austin Police Department, and various partners. It stands as a testament to the commitment to combatting Hate Crimes and ensuring the well-being of affected individuals; while also providing near-real time information for informed decision-making, resource allocation, and policy.</p><p><b>Key Features:</b> This Dashboard includes three primary data viewers to understand the experiential data reporting details of the variety of Hate Crimes experienced by Austinites.</p><p><b>Data Sources:</b> Details for the source, methodology, and collection frequency are detailed below.</p><p style="margin-left:0.5in;"><b>Experiential Data:</b> Experiential data is a product of a one-time community survey conducted by ZenCity where residents reported whether they had personally been a victim of a Hate Crime, and gathered additional information related to their experience for those that were previously victimized. This data is reported both at city-wide levels and at City Council District levels.
