There are currently four iwi (Raukawa, Te Arawa River Iwi Trust, Waikato-Tainui, and Maniapoto) that have JMAs with the Council. Raukawa and Te Arawa River Iwi Trust both have signed JMAs, while Waikato-Tainui and Maniapoto are yet to sign theirs. Please note: Maniapoto might have a slight alteration to their JMA boundary before the signing of their JMA, but as it is to date, it is the currently agreed upon JMA boundary.
The polygons used in this layer are derived from the maps used in the JMAs and are agree upon boundaries between the Council and the iwi involved.
