Description: Results of a LiDAR remote sensing survey of Dana, MA, which was flooded during the construction of the Quabbin Reservoir. Students were assigned a set of 1x1 km grid cells and tasked with digitizing linear features (walls and roads) visible in the LiDAR imagery, with the assistance of modern satellite imagery and a historical map from 1870. The student’s feature layers were combined using the “Merge” tool in ArcGIS Pro 2.8.
