This feature layer was created using Census 2016 data produced by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) and Administrative Small Area boundary data (ungeneralised) produced by Ordnance Survey Ireland (OSi). The layer represents Census 2016 Theme 10.4 and provides a population breakdown of those aged 15 years and over by the highest level of education completed. Attributes specific to the feature include: no formal education, primary education, lower secondary, upper secondary, technical or vocational qualification, advanced certificate/completed apprenticeship, higher certificate, ordinary bachelors degree, professional qualification or both, postgraduate diploma or degree, doctorate or higher as well as education level not stated. Data is broken into male and female with total as well as a collective total. The Census is carried out every 5 years by the CSO to determine an account of every person in Ireland. The results provide information on a range of themes, such as, population, housing, employment and education. The data were sourced from the CSO.
