This feature layer was created using Census 2016 data produced by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) and Administrative Small Area boundary data (ungeneralised) produced by Ordnance Survey Ireland (OSi). The layer represents Census 2016 Themes 4.4, 4.5 and 4.6. Theme 4.4 features attributes relating to the number of families by age of the youngest child and is broken down into age ranges whilst providing a total number of families. This theme also includes the number of persons specific to each age range and provides a total number of persons. Theme 4.5 provides data on the family cycle and features attributes including pre-family, retired, pre-school, early school, pre-adolescent, adolescent and adult whilst proving a total no of families. Theme 4.6 features data referring to the number of children born to females 20 years of age and above and includes attributes such as zero children, 1 child, 2 children, 3 children and 4 or more children. The Census is carried out every five years by the CSO to determine an account of every person in Ireland. The results provide information on a range of themes, such as, population, housing and education. The data were sourced from the CSO.
