This feature layer was created using Census 2016 data produced by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) and Administrative Small Area boundary data (ungeneralised) produced by Ordnance Survey Ireland (OSi). The layer represents Census 2016 Theme 12.1, 12.2 & 12.3 and provides a population breakdown by sex of those that have disabilities (12.1), those that are carers (12.2) as well as the general health of the population (12.3). Attributes include: male, female, very good, good, fair, bad, very bad and not stated whilst providing totals by sex as well as a general total.

The Census is carried out every 5 years by the CSO to determine an account of every person in Ireland. The results provide information on a range of themes, such as, population, housing, employment, health, welfare, infrastructure and education. The data were sourced from the CSO.
