Line segments for streets inside the Kalispell City Limits and under the City Road Department's jurisdiction are intended to be ~350 to 400 feet in length for tracking treatments in Cityworks. The “ownership” field (city, state, county, private, future) is indicative of the as-built status, which is updated by City of Kalispell GIS Specialist Steve Varro as he receives as-built drawings the City has accepted. The "DriveSurfaceWidth" field is intended to include the curb to curb distance (including any parking spaces along the road). As City annexations occur, City of Kalispell GIS Specialist Mindy Cochran will add streets into this feature class. Ownership of a road does not change from County to City with annexation into City - these need to be deeded to the City in order to change ownership. The City does not plow roads under private ownership.
