Service Description: This layer was created as an update to the 2009 version of the LUA map. It is intended to accomplish the following: 1) provide more accurate and up-to-date LUA boundaries based on a variety of newly available data sources, and 2) correct attributing errors identified in earlier versions of the map. The catalyst for the update was to provide a more accurate layer for use in the 20-year NWFP Effectiveness Monitoring Reports.

Description: This is an ESRI Polygon Feature Class layer of the Land Use Allocations (LUAs) as described in the Northwest Forest Plan (NWFP) Record Of Decision (ROD), 1994. This is an interagency product and should be regarded as the official spatial representation for these land allocations, as of August 2013. The intent is that it be used for large-scale regional monitoring purposes only, such as the NWFP Effectiveness Monitoring effort.
