Service Description: This polygon layer displays Potential Control Lines (PCLs) ranked as first, second, or third priority. PCLs correspond to the linear segments of the POD polygons. PODs were delineated by fire staff from relevant Ranger Districts with the USDA Forest Service and by regional fire staff with the Washington Department of Natural Resources. PCL segments were prioritized based on their value for wildfire response benefit. The wildfire response benefit was calculated based on layers of wildfire risk to homes, infrastructures, commercially managed lands and surface sources of drinking water, wildfire transmission to homes, 3) crown fire potential, and forest health treatment priorities.
