Service Description: This is a rough map showing the geographic proximities between every NPS park and every Amtrak station. Proximities are symbolized as rings around the stations in 1, 5, 10, and 50 mile increments. Transportation assets (trails, transit, etc.) are not included when calculating distances.
To see likely future improvements, simply toggle the "Near-Future Improvements" tab in the Layers menu.
This map was made by Charlie Gould of Western Transportation Institute, on behalf of the National Park Service Alternative Transportation Program, as part of the Public Lands Transportation Fellows program.
