Description: ObjectiveThe objective of the Sidewalk feature class is to document the location and characteristics of pedestrian sidewalks within Bozeman Pond Park. These walkways support visitor circulation, accessibility, maintenance planning, and long‑term infrastructure management. Mapping sidewalks contributes to a comprehensive inventory of park amenities and helps guide future improvements.Equipment UsedData for this feature class was collected using an Emlid RS2 Multi‑GNSS receiver operating in autonomous mode (no base station and no differential correction).Mapping TechniquesSidewalks were mapped as line features by walking the centerline of each segment with the GNSS receiver. Vertices were collected at changes in direction, intersections, and transitions in surface type. Averaged GNSS positions were used to improve positional stability and reduce noise. All sidewalks were accessible in the field, so no offsets or indirect mapping techniques were required.Base StationNo base station or differential correction was used. All positions were collected in autonomous GNSS mode, resulting in standard uncorrected accuracy.EditingMinor editing was performed to smooth line geometry and remove small multipath spikes. Vertices were adjusted only when clearly misaligned with visible sidewalk edges in aerial imagery.
