Description: ObjectiveThe objective of the Parking_Lot feature class is to document the location, characteristics, and condition of the primary parking area serving Bozeman Pond Park. This dataset supports visitor‑use planning, accessibility evaluation, maintenance scheduling, and long‑term infrastructure management. Mapping the parking lot contributes to a comprehensive inventory of park amenities and helps guide future improvements.Equipment UsedData for this feature class was collected using an Emlid RS2 Multi‑GNSS receiver, capable of receiving corrections from multiple satellite constellations to achieve high‑accuracy positioning.Mapping TechniquesThe parking lot was mapped as a polygon by walking the perimeter and collecting averaged GNSS vertices at pavement edges, corners, and transitions. Averaged positions were used to improve positional stability and reduce noise. All edges were accessible in the field, so no distance/bearing offsets were required. Logging was performed at a consistent interval to ensure uniform data quality.Base StationNo base station or differential correction was used for this dataset. All positions were collected in autonomous GNSS mode, resulting in standard, uncorrected accuracy.EditingMinor editing was performed to smooth polygon edges and remove small multipath spikes. Vertices were adjusted only when clearly misaligned with pavement boundaries visible in aerial imagery.
