Description: ObjectiveThe objective of the Drinking_Fountain feature class is to document the location and characteristics of drinking fountains within Bozeman Pond Park. These features support park management, water‑access planning, maintenance scheduling, and public‑use mapping. Drinking fountains are important amenities for both visitors and pets, and mapping them contributes to a comprehensive inventory of park infrastructure.Equipment UsedData for this feature class was collected using an Emlid RS2 Multi‑GNSS receiver, capable of receiving corrections from multiple satellite constellations to achieve high‑accuracy positioning.Mapping TechniquesDrinking fountains were mapped as point features by occupying each fountain directly with the GNSS receiver. Averaged GNSS positions were used to improve positional stability and reduce noise. All fountains were accessible in the field, so no distance/bearing offsets were required. Logging was performed at a consistent interval to ensure uniform data quality.Base StationNo base station or differential correction was used for this dataset. All positions were collected in autonomous GNSS mode, resulting in standard, uncorrected accuracy.EditingMinimal editing was required for this feature class. Points were visually inspected in ArcGIS Pro to confirm correct placement relative to aerial imagery and adjacent amenities. No vertices were moved, and no multipath spikes or anomalies were detected. No heads‑up digitizing or reconstruction was necessary.Estimated AccuracyBased on the project’s data quality assessment, the drinking fountain feature class achieved an estimated horizontal accuracy of approximately 1–2 meters at a 95% confidence level, consistent with expectations for RS2 GNSS data corrected using a nearby base station.Spatial ReferenceThe spatial reference for this feature class is: NAD 1983 2011 StatePlane Montana FIPS 2500 (Meters)Coordinate System: ProjectedDatum: NAD 1983 (2011)Projection: StatePlane Montana FIPS 2500Linear Unit: MetersFields (Domain and Entity Information)MATERIALDescription: Primary construction material of the drinking fountain.Type: Text (coded)Domain: Metal, Composite, OtherCONDITIONDescription: Physical condition of the fountain at the time of inspection.Type: Text (coded)Domain: Excellent, Good, Fair, PoorLAST_INSPECTIONDescription: Date the fountain was last inspected.Type: DateDomain: Valid calendar datesMAINTENANCE_PRIORITYDescription: Indicates the urgency of maintenance needs.Type: Text (coded)Domain: High, Medium, Low
