Objective: Lift towers were mapped because they are a very prominent part of the infrastructure at Bridger Bowl Ski area, Additionally, knowing accurate locations of lift towers can help ski patrol find skiers around the ski area, because skiers can look at the tower numbers.
Equipment: The equipment used to map this layer was an Emlid RS2 Multi GNSS receiver, a Trimble GIS GPS Receiver Backpack with attached pole, a Samsung Tablet utilizing the app ArcGIS field maps, and all necessary ski equipment.
Mapping Techniques: Points were collected at each lift tower by averaging 10 positions. I stood as close to the towers as possible and stood as upright as possible, in order to get accurate data with the receiver on the backpack.
Base station: No base station was used, as no differential correction was performed.
Editing: No editing was necessary for this layer.
Estimated Accuracy: 75.6% of the data for this project (most of which was points), fell between 15-30 cm accuracy. Only 1.7% of data fell above 1 m. The average precision for the lift tower data was a standard deviation of 0.078538.

Fields: Lift_Towers point file has a Field called POLE_NUMBER. This field is the pole number of the lifts. Domain requires a value between 1 and 30. There is also a field called LIFT_NAME, which contains the names of the lift that the tower corresponds with.
Objective: Ski Runs were mapped because they are a very prominent part of the infrastructure at Bridger Bowl Ski area, Additionally, it is important to know where each of the main ski runs is, and how difficult the run is, so that users can choose a run that would be appropriate for their skiing ability.
Equipment: The equipment used to map this layer was an Emlid RS2 Multi GNSS receiver, a Trimble GIS GPS Receiver Backpack with attached pole, a Samsung Tablet utilizing the app ArcGIS field maps, and all necessary ski equipment.
Mapping Techniques: Lines were collected for each ski run by using Stop/Start streaming. At the beginning of each ski run, I hit start streaming, skied the run, and then hit stop streaming. This created an accurate line along my ski path.
Base station: No base station was used, as no differential correction was performed.
Editing: There was one section of the map where two of the lines overlapped, so I trimmed a portion of one of the lines off and then snapped the two lines to each other to make one synchronous ski run that was visually pleasing.
Estimated Accuracy: 75.6% of the data for this project (most of which was points), fell between 15-30 cm accuracy. There is no precision data for line features.

Fields: Ski_Runs line file has a Field called DIFFICULTY. This field is the difficulty rating of each ski run, which were easy, intermediate, and expert.
Objective: Lodges were mapped because they are a very prominent part of the infrastructure at Bridger Bowl Ski area, Additionally, it is useful for map users at Bridger Bowl to be able to see where all of the lodges are so that they can plan when to use the bathroom, take a break, pick up tickets, or find something to eat.
Equipment: The equipment used to map this layer was an Emlid RS2 Multi GNSS receiver, a Trimble GIS GPS Receiver Backpack with attached pole, a Samsung Tablet utilizing the app ArcGIS field maps, and all necessary ski equipment.
Mapping Techniques: Polygons were collected at each lodge by using averaged vertices to connect points taken around the perimeter of the building by averaging 10 positions.
Base station: No base station was used, as no differential correction was performed.
Editing: No editing was necessary for this layer.
Estimated Accuracy: 75.6% of the data for this project fell between 15-30 cm accuracy. There was no precision calculated for the polygon layer.
