Description: Objectives: The aim of the Fire Pits feature was to map fire pits around Lava Lake. The feature would be analyzied using a buffer from the lake boundary to see if they were within the permitted half mile distance from the lake. This would provide people interested in backpacking in this area with an idea about where they would be allowed to have fires and potentially influence where they camp. Unfortunately due to snow cover at the lake this feature could not be mapped and my map no longer provides information specific to overnight recreation.
