Original data was provided by the Tuscaloosa County Tax Assessor, then three additional fields were added and field calculations made in order to: 1) combine deed book and deed page fields (example - 2002/1234); 2) combine plat book and page (example - 2014/29); and 3) reformatting of the parcel numbers. This was done to simplify searches/queries. Data was then projected to the Web Mercator Auxiliary Sphere coordinate system (EPSG 3857) to improve web map performance.
