Service Description: Rural Municipal Transport Master Plan (RMTMP) shall be defined as the process of identification, classification and prioritization of roads within rural municipality; construction, upgrading, maintenance and rehabilitation of prioritized roads on the basis of approved criteria with calculation of financial budget. The basic approach for the preparation of RMTMP is the bottom up and participatory approach. The ultimate goal of most transportation is “access” people’s ability to reach desired goods, services and activities. Transportation decisions often involve tradeoffs between different forms of access. The pattern of traffic at morning peak and evening peak is just opposite. The carriageway width of the existing road is about 4 to 6 m only. For the development of city with efficient transportation system it is inherent to provide appropriate roadway width. Thus the major constraint for the implementation of RMTMP is to provide sufficient right of way to the roads.
Benighat Rorang rural municipality is located within the Dhading district of Bagmati province of Nepal. This rural municipality is divided into total 10 wards where previous local units Jogimara, Dhusa, Benighat, and Mahadevsthan were merged to form this new local level unit.
Benighat Rorang rural municipality is surrounded by Gajuri rural municipality and Makwanpur district in the east, Chitwan district in the west, Siddhalek rural municipality, Gorkha and Chitwan district covers from the north. And Chitwan and Makwanpur district falls in south of this rural municipality.
Benighat Rorang rural municipality is situated at an elevation of about 971m above sea level. This RMTMP identified 629.159 km road including municipal and ward roads total road length of new construction is 100.7868 km. All the roads are either gravel or earthen.
