Description: This is a subset of world mountain ranges that were determined using the world topo 30 elevation model thematically displayed using the standard deviation classification style at ΒΌ sigma. The resulting highest local surfaces were digitized then cross referenced to 3 world atlases (Rand McNally, 2 different National Geographic, and Google and Apple maps) for the major range names. These ranges were chosen for their location significantly away from current plate boundaries.
