Description: World mountain ranges were determined using the world topo 30 elevation model thematically displayed using the standard deviation classification style at ΒΌ standard deviations. The resulting highest local surfaces were digitized then cross referenced to 3 world atlases (Rand McNally, 2 different National Geographic, and Google and Apple maps) for the major range names .
