5.1.3 Travel time delay

Unit

Average additional travel time resulting from traffic conditions, compared to the hour with the lowest average travel time, presented both as total additional travel time in hours across the network in a whole day, and the daily average additional travel time in seconds per kilometre travelled.

Map

The map shows how much additional travel time occurs each day when compared with the total daily travel time estimated by assuming all travel on all links could occur at the speed implied by the lowest observed hourly average travel times.

Data

Data for travel time delay is sourced from TomTom travel time data and traffic count information for state highways and local roads.
