Service Description: 2019 estimate of Esri's Diversity Index condition. Diversity Index summarizes racial and ethnic diversity. This Index represents the likelihood that two persons, chosen at random from the same area, belong to different race or ethnic groups. The index ranges from 0 (no diversity) to 100 (complete diversity). For example, if an area's entire population belongs to one race or ethnic group, then an area has zero diversity. An area's diversity index increases to 100 when the population is evenly divided into two or more race/ethnic groups.
