This layer shows properties in the High Conservation Value Property Inventory, mostly parks, natural areas or conservation easements managed by the King County Park System that receive a higher level of protection against changes of use or surplus, per the Open Space Protection Amendment to the King County Charter.

This layer contains properties from the original inventory in 2009, additional properties added in a 2015 update, as well as properties proposed to be added in a 2021 update.
