Description:

Operational layers for the Metro Transit System web map. The layers are park & rides and clickable route label areas. Park & ride locations are taken from the Adobe Illustrator master system map. Those location points have been joined to the KCGIS enterprise park & ride layer to derive the number of parking spaces. Park & ride names have been coordinated to be consistent with the enterprise data layer and the Illustrator map labels, with defference to the later when there are conflicting details. The route label areas have been organized into a set of layers by definition queries on agency and service categories. The service categories are derived from available agency website schedule and map page links so that URLs can be formulated to take users to pages that represent specific categories of service, for example weekday, weekday, Saturday, holiday, etc.
