Description: The park & ride locations in this layer are taken from the Adobe Illustrator master system map. To derive this GIS layer, these location points were joined to the KCGIS enterprise park & ride layer to derive the number of parking spaces. Ongoing maintenance of the layer's features and attributes now occurs within the Illustrator map with a fresh layer export for each service change.
Park & ride names have been coordinated to be consistent with the enterprise data layer, the listing of park & ride locations on the Metro website, and the Illustrator map labels, with deference to the latter when there are conflicting details.
Description: Each of the polygons in this layer corresponds to a route label text object on the Metro Transit Master System Map. The attributes have been designed to enable the creation of web-map pop-ups that will display links to web pages that contain route schedules and maps. The polygons are intended to be invisible so that the map user will appear to be clicking on the text underlying the polygons.
