Service Description: To store and represent current Chester County, PA property data. PRCL_POLY is for general access and use by GIS users. It represents mapped parcels and associated land record and address information from other sources. PRCL_POLY is a regularly updated copy of PARCEL_PUBLISH, however it is different from PARCEL_PUBLISH in that it contains additional land record information but has no relationship classes with other tables. The parcel map base is vital in supporting property and land record operations of Chester County. The mapped land parcels layer does not represent property survey information and may not be used for such purposes.

Description: The PRCL_POLY layer depicts mapped land parcels or real estate properties within Chester County. This data contains geometric representations depicting the general size, shape and location for all of the real estate properties, which can be mapped, on the County's land surface. Along with the mapped parcel polygons this layer is used in conjunction with Assessment land record data and Address data to provide access to County land record data. The PRCL_POLY layer is created by a join of data between PARCEL_PUBLISH, ASMNT_DATA and ADDRESS_DATA, resulting in one assessment record and one address record for each mapped parcel.
